St. Petersburg Tchaikovsky Ballet Theatrewas founded in 2012 by a professional musician of the Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra and the orchestra of St. Petersburg State Philharmonia Pavel Elkin.
For the position of the Artistic Director the graduate of the Vaganova Academy of Russian ballet, awarded with the medal “For achievements in culture” by the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Mikhail Shvydkoy, choreographer Elizaveta Menshikova was invited.
Today the St. Petersburg Tchaikovsky Ballet Theatre is one of the leading companies of classical ballet, which repertoire includes such masterpieces of the world choreography as “Swan Lake”, “Nutcracker”, “Romeo and Juliet” by Tchaikovsky.
Each year the ballet gives, on average, 150-200 performances, performing at such famous venues of St. Petersburg as Alexandrinsky Theatre, The Hermitage Theatre, the Opera and Ballet Theatre of the St. Petersburg Conservatory, and intensively goes on tours abroad: in Sweden, Germany, Norway, Denmark, Belgium, the Netherlands. The troupe consists of 53 professional dancers, among them there are graduates of the world famous Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet and major Russian ballet schools.

Artistic director Elizaveta Menshikova – a professional ballerina, leading soloist, choreographer, choreographer, art director of the St. Petersburg Ballet Theater. P. I. Tchaikovsky. Director Pavel Elkin – a professional musician, arranger, producer, founder and CEO of St. Petersburg Tchaikovsky Ballet Theatre. He obtained his first professional music education in the Choral School by M. Glinka, the unique specialized educational institution that has no analogues in the world. He received his second education in specialized music school at the St. Petersburg State Conservatory by N. Rimsky-Korsakov. Graduated from the St. Petersburg State Conservatory by N. Rimsky-Korsakov, the double bass class. Worked in the world leading symphony orchestras – the orchestra of the Mariinsky Theatre, orchestra of the St. Petersburg State Academic Philharmonia by D. Shostakovich, symphony orchestras in Latin America.
